Almost two years after a fire destroyed one of Whittier's most beloved restaurants, investigators say they've made an arrest.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department took a man into custody Tuesday in connection with the blaze that destroyed Pizzamania — a pizza spot that fed Whittier for more than 50 years and hosted generations of birthdays, sports team celebrations, and first jobs. The fire also destroyed four neighboring businesses in the same Telegraph Road strip mall.

The department identified the suspect only by his last name, Arreola. LASD's

Information Bureau told Whittier Informed that a booking photo and his full name are unlikely to be released.
